VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — A North Carolina man who admitted to sending threatening emails to a Virginia Beach school has been sentenced to five years in prison, with two years suspended.
Bobby Dale Francisco, of South Mills, was arrested in September 2024 after authorities said he emailed threats to St. John the Apostle Catholic Church School. The threats prompted the school to cancel classes on September 11 and 12 as a safety precaution.
Court records show Francisco underwent a psychological evaluation and was found competent to stand trial. He later pleaded guilty to a felony threat charge and was sentenced on Wednesday. With two years suspended, he will serve three years behind bars, followed by probation…
