NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — A vehicle fire caused traffic delays in Norfolk Tuesday morning, Virginia State Police said.
According to the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT), all east lanes were closed on I-64 near Granby Street due to the fire.
Troopers with VSP said the initial call for the fire came in around 6:50 a.m. for a tractor-trailer completely engulfed in flames and a possible diesel spill. An initial investigation revealed that the driver of a 2013 International truck, Tyler Davis, ran off the roadway and struck an attenuator, causing the fuel tank to lose fuel.
