CHESAPEAKE, Va. — Approximately 200 military members from various commands will volunteer at 29 schools in Chesapeake during the 9th Annual Servicing Our Schools event hosted by Naval Support Activity Hampton Roads. The event is scheduled for Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
The initiative aims to assist teachers in preparing their classrooms for the upcoming academic year.
Volunteers will help with tasks such as sorting and distributing books, assembling student furniture, preparing bulletin boards, cutting out classroom decorations, organizing classroom libraries, and arranging furniture to create an inviting learning environment…
