VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — A former church childcare worker charged with felony child abuse neglect and abuse causing serious injury had her charges certified to a grand jury in a Virginia Beach court Monday.
Only 10 On Your Side was in court for the preliminary hearing of the daycare worker, Jhamica Jackson, who had worked at the Wave Children’s Learning Center in Virginia Beach before it abruptly closed May 30, with what is alleged to have happened with Jackson having a lot to do with that.
“The Commonwealth simply has to show that they think that she might be guilty, or could have probably done this,” said the woman’s attorney, Eric Korslund. “I’ll concede to that point. I think it is possible that this injury could have happened when my client picked her up out of the bouncy chair, … but criminal intent, no way.”…
