CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) — One person was displaced after a fire Wednesday morning on B Street in Chesapeake.
The fire in the South Norfolk area was reported around 11:25 a.m., according to the Chesapeake Fire Department. Firefighters reported smoke showing from the rear of a two-story residential structure.
Crews deployed multiple hoselines and quickly extinguished the fire. The fire was marked under control at approximately 11:55 a.m.
The fire was contained to the exterior of the home, resulting in minor damage. A shed in the backyard was a total loss. It was also determined that two large, inflated tires ruptured due to exposure to the fire, resulting in a loud explosion…
