Chesapeake traffic calming program aims to curb speeding

CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) — Chesapeake’s traffic calming program aims to cut down on dangerous speeding in the city.According to its page on Chesapeake’s website, the program slows traffic without limiting access. Earl Sorey, Chesapeake’s Director of Public Works, thought speeding didn’t have a simple solution.

“These things aren’t one size fits all,” Sorey said.
