NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — The Elizabeth River Trail Foundation is launching an immersive audio storytelling project Saturday.
According to the nonprofit, the Truth Be Told Virginia Project will unveil the first four of its 12 stories, inviting visitors to listen to personal narratives that tie local history to the trail’s views.
In partnership with Heard Productions and Freshtopia‘s Live Fresh Bike Ride, the launch will take off with a boombox bike ride led by DJ Bee along a route that spotlights the locations where the stories happen. There will be opportunities for attendees to meet the storytellers. The event will start at MacArthur Center Green, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
“This launch event incorporates the things that make the ERT authentic and uniquely Norfolk,” said the Elizabeth River Trail Foundation’s Executive Director Kindra Greene. “We are so honored to be able to amplify the stories of the people who live, move, work and play along this trail and hope this interactive experience brings a new audience to see all the trail has to offer.”…
