HAMPTON, Va. (WAVY)– Crews in Hampton responded to an overnight fire at an Amazon Facility on Enterprise Parkway.
According to dispatch, crews were called to the facility in the 2000 block of Enterprise Parkway just after 3 a.m. for the report of a structure fire.
“We safely evacuated our building this morning after smoke was detected in a parking area.” said Amazon Public Relations Manager Jesus Garcia. “While we’re glad no one was hurt, we’re working closely with first responders to understand what happened and have temporarily suspended operations while safety assessments are completed.”
