SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — Suffolk Police has announced road closures ahead of the Suffolk Peanut Fest on Saturday, Oct. 4.
According to a Facebook post, street closures will start for the parade staging area at 7:30 a.m. and along the parade route at 8:30 a.m. Any vehicles parked along the parade route will be towed if the owner or driver cannot be located.
Beginning at 7:30 a.m. Saturday, the following streets will be closed:
- W. Washington St. from Bute St. to Wellons St.
- Gittings St. from Causey Ave. to S. Broad St.
- Causey Ave. from Gittings St. to W. Washington St.
- Bosley Ave. from Smith St. to W. Washington St.
- S. Broad St. from Smith St. to W. Washington St.
- N. Broad St. from 2nd Ave. to W. Washington St.
- Linden Ave. from Smith St. to W. Washington St.
- St. James Ave. from Smith St. to W. Washington St.
- Wellons St. from Jackson St. to W. Washington St.
- Henley Pl. from Market St. to W. Washington St.
