NORFOLK, Va. — Norfolk’s Colonna’s Shipyard will invest more than $79 million in a new drydock, marking a major expansion for the nation’s oldest family-owned shipyard, Gov. Glenn Youngkin announced on Friday.
The shipyard said Drydock #4 will have a lifting capacity of approximately 25,000 tons and is expected to be delivered in the first half of 2028. The project aims to enhance Colonna’s capabilities in ship repair and maintenance for both commercial and government clients.
