NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) – Markus Dominique Williams, 22, was sentenced in September to 24 months in jail after pleading guilty to multiple charges related to vehicle tampering and theft in Norfolk.
Williams was apprehended by Norfolk Police while stealing from vehicles parked in the York Street Garage on December 10 last year.
He pleaded guilty to 20 counts of misdemeanor tampering with a vehicle, one count of felony grand larceny, and one count of felony possession of burglarious tools.
Williams had no criminal history, but Judge David W. Lannetti departed from state guidelines, which recommend a sentence of probation only, due to the ‘brazen commission of multiple crimes.’…
