RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — After two foals were seized from Suffolk and were cared for by Woodside Equine Clinic in Hanover and Richmond Animal Care and Control (RACC), they have been adopted.
According to RACC, foals Bert and Ernie were part of a large seizure carried out by the Suffolk Police Department and Suffolk Animal Care.
At the time, RACC said the foals were 3 and 5 months old and were emaciated and sick, with both needing medical intervention.
Both were taken directly from the scene to Woodside Equine Clinic in Hanover County, where they reportedly spent a week fighting pneumonia. Their veterinary bill was covered thanks to RACC’s Tommie Fund…
