NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — In the past few weeks, the scariest thing on Granby Street might have been these skeletons haunting the outside the Masonic Temple.
That was, until this.
Starting Tuesday, the speed limit on Granby Street has been lowered from 35 mph to 30 mph. It’s part of a new bike lane project stretching from Willow Wood Drive to Admiral Taussing Boulevard just south of the Interstate 564 overpass. A lane in each direction will be repurposed into a bike lane.

While drivers on their daily commutes seemed to have little interest in slowing down this morning, cyclists tell a different story…
