Man convicted of first-degree murder in Norfolk stabbing

NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) – A man was convicted of first-degree murder Wednesday for bludgeoning and stabbing to death a 54-year-old woman, and allegedly biting off pieces of her body, according to the Commonwealth’s Attorney.

The incident took place Dec. 28, 2023, inside of Michelle Antionette Ford-Outlaw’s address, where security footage caught 31-year-old Demetrios Bryant slamming Ford-Outlaw into her closed bedroom door, knocking down the door and causing her to fall face-down onto the floor.

According to the CA’s office, Bryant could be seen yelling at Ford-Outlaw while grabbing a beer bottle. He used the bottle to repeatedly strike her over the head for two minutes.

Security footage then showed Bryant pick up a knife, show the knife towards the security camera in the kitchen, and proceeded to stab Ford-Outlaw over 30 times in her back and head. After stabbing her body, he could be seen appearing to kneel and bite into her flesh for several more minutes, according to the Commonwealth’s Attorney…
