What was once a life-size dollhouse in the early 1900s now holds a community rooted in spiritual healing, a full apothecary and positive intentions.
Owner and head witch Ashley Branton started The Velvet Witch in 2017 at Selden Market. The original sign still hangs proudly at 509 Boissevain Ave. in the Ghent neighborhood of Norfolk, where the business now thrives.
The exterior draws you in with its charm and color, and according to Ashley, you are always drawn to something for a reason. Inside, The Velvet Witch offers more than just a glimpse into a spiritual haven. From tarot readings and crystal healings to shadow work sessions, each service is designed to help guests connect with spirit and find balance within themselves.
The Velvet Witch also offers spiritual baths, remedy rituals and a safe space tailored to each person’s needs. Appointments are available both in person and virtually.
