YORK COUNTY, Va. (WAVY)– A Newport News woman is in custody following a shots fired incident in York County Saturday night.
According to officials, deputies were dispatched to the 600 block of Custis Drive just after 11 p.m. for the report of shots being fired from a vehicle. No one was injured.
When deputies arrived, they were provided a description of the vehicle and name of a possible suspect. Deputies verified the suspect’s name and located the vehicle at a residence in the City of Newport News.
As a result, 44-year-old Tara Nicole Vick was arrested. She faces the following charges:
- Possession of a Firearm by a convicted felon- Felony
- Shooting from a Vehicle- Felony
- Reckless Handling of a Firearm- Misdemeanor
- Discharging a Firearm in a Public Place- Misdemeanor
