CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) — A nationally-renowned cold case nearly 30 years old now has a Chesapeake connection in trying to find the killer of 6-year-old JonBenét Ramsey.
The girl, the younger of two children of John and Patsy Ramsey, was a beauty pageant queen who was found dead Dec. 26, 1996 in her Boulder, Colorado home. Burke Ramsey, then 9, was JonBenét’s older brother.
The medical examiner’s report determined JonBenét Ramsey’s cause of death was ligature strangulation and trauma to the brain and skull, otherwise known as craniocerebral injuries…
