Hampton police are investigating a stabbing at a business on W. Mercury Boulevard

HAMPTON, Va. — According to officials, officers were called around 8:06 p.m. on November 19, 2025, after Hampton Public Safety Communications received a report of a stabbing at Ollie’s in the 4100 block of West Mercury Boulevard.

When officers arrived, they found an adult man who had suffered what police described as a superficial laceration. Investigators say the incident began when a suspect entered the store, gathered several items and walked out without paying.

The victim confronted the suspect outside, and a brief struggle followed, according to police. During that scuffle, police say the suspect pulled out a small pocket knife and cut the victim before running away on foot…
