CAROLINE COUNTY, Va. (WAVY) — A Virginia man was arrested Tuesday in connection with the armed robbery of four French bulldogs in Ladysmith, according to the Caroline County Sheriff’s Office.
Hampton Police told NewsNation affiliate WAVY that the robbery included two adult dogs and two puppies.
On Nov. 23, deputies responded to the parking lot of the Ladysmith Food Lion after the seller of one French Bulldog was reportedly being confronted by the buyer at gunpoint. The seller reported the buyer held him at gunpoint while stealing all four puppies, which were valued at $4,000 each. He also stole a firearm the seller had in their vehicle and allegedly sped away with the animals.
