A wild stallion in Currituck’s northern Outer Banks has been relocated after being determined it was “a serious threat to public safety.”
The Corolla Wild Horse Fund announced on Facebook Tuesday that the stallion Topnotch was relocated to the fund’s farm sanctuary on mainland Currituck. The horse was relocated because it had become “food conditioned and aggressive,” the post states.
“Over the last several years, Topnotch became increasingly resistant to being moved away from perceived food sources, and also became increasingly aggressive and confrontational toward anyone who attempted to redirect him,” officials said…
