51,936 homeless veterans secure permanent housing nationwide

HAMPTON, Va. (WAVY) — More than 50,000 homeless veterans found permanent housing across the U.S. in 2025, over 4,000 more than in the previous year, according to the Department of Veterans Affairs.

The Department of Veterans Affairs said 51,936 homeless veterans have found permanent housing across the country this year, versus 47,925 homeless veterans housed in 2024.
