PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) — Three adults and two kids have been displaced after a fire on Virginia Avenue in Portsmouth Sunday morning, according to the Portsmouth Fire Department.
At around 8:30 a.m. on Nov. 30, the Portsmouth Fire Department, and the Navy Regional Fire Rescue were dispatched to a fire in the 1110 block of Virginia Avenue. When crews arrived, they noticed smoke coming from a downstairs apartment, declaring it a working fire. Crews initiated an aggressive offensive attack, which contained the fire to the apartment of origin.
