SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) – A former Norfolk Police recruit was arrested and two others are wanted on charges of grand larceny, conspiracy and computer fraud in relation to an ongoing phone scam, according to Suffolk Police.
Officers warned residents Aug. 8 that if anyone approaches and asks to borrow your phone do not lend it to them, as it only takes seconds for strangers to apply for loans, send money to themselves through money transfer apps, or steal personal information.
