Norfolk Police denies ICE profiling claims in traffic stop; acknowledges video

NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — The Norfolk Police Department acknowledges it is aware of a widely shared social media post alleging that a Hispanic sailor was profiled and detained by an ICE agent during a Norfolk traffic stop.

The post, which went viral before being deleted, has prompted questions for local law enforcement and federal agencies.

In the video, which was viewed by WAVY employees, a man who identifies himself as a Navy chief describes an incident in which a sailor was pulled over, reportedly for tinted windows.
