Norfolk fire crews responded Sunday morning to a fire aboard the USS Bataan while the ship was docked at General Dynamics, officials said.
Norfolk Fire-Rescue was called around 8:50 a.m. after reports of a fire on a catwalk. Crews later learned the fire was inside the ship, where ship personnel had already begun firefighting efforts.
