SUFFOLK, Va. — Portions of Suffolk will experience an overnight water service interruption beginning late Sunday as crews perform water main work near North Main Street and Murphy’s Mill Road, city officials said.
According to the Suffolk Department of Public Utilities, a contractor working for a developer will begin work at the intersection starting at 10 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 14. Water service is expected to be interrupted until about 4 a.m. Monday, Dec. 15.
The interruption will affect residential customers in several areas, including Elephants Fork along Stuart Avenue, Jordan Avenue and Exchange Road; the Palmyra neighborhood; Sadler Heights; and the 2300 to 2400 block of Pruden Boulevard…
