A recent incident involving a Hampton City Schools bus driver in Virginia has left many people disturbed after a mother claimed that the driver refused to let children off the bus and into the care of their parents, despite repeated pleas and visible distress from both the children and adults present.

Today my child calls me because he’s freaking out as the bus driver refused to let his cousin off the bus. Mind you she is 6 years old with severe medical problems. So the driver originally lets the boys( Bentley and his other cousins) off the bus and closes the door refusing to let P off the bus. The boys then get back on the bus to get her because now they are scared. Once the get back on the bus driver refused to let any of them get off refusing to give the kids to their parents to the point all of them are screaming and crying. Proceeds to tell Airika Danielle he is not reading them until she can get them to calm down which she does. But even after their calm he refuses to let them off. The kids are now trying to pry the door open to get out terrified. So as instructed by myself my baby grab his cousins ran to the back of the bus and jumped out the emergency exit! Mom was right there to get her kids and the driver still refused mind you they did nothing wrong at all. But because mom was 10 seconds late he refused. And Hampton city schools instead of doing something about this, they expelled all the kids off the bus until further noticed and not just mine and his cousins but every child that was at that stop. Police were called immediately and went down the drivers throat. When I arrived my husband of course was not playing about his babies and went full dad mode and I spoke calming with the police principal and the driver jumped out of the bus calling my child a bad ass kid because my child full heartedly went completely off on him scared for his cousins safety . Do I condone his mouth absolutely not, but if I’m being held from my parents I’d do the same! P was traumatized holding her mom’s hand at one point through the window crying until the driver ripped her hand away from her mother.
