GLOUCESTER COUNTY, Va. (WAVY) — A Newport News man was arrested in connection with shoplifting over $2,600 in sports cards at a Gloucester Walmart on Monday evening, according to deputies.
Deputies responded to a Walmart, located at 6819 Waltons Lane, for a report of a shoplifting in progress. The suspect was allegedly seen scooping items into a plastic bin from the shelves, including sports cards and other miscellaneous merchandise valuing over $2,600.
