Newport News Sheriff Gabe Morgan sworn in for sixth term

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WAVY) — Newport News Sheriff Gabe Morgan was sworn in for a sixth term as the city’s sheriff Monday, according to the Newport News Sheriff’s Office.

On Dec. 22, Newport News Circuit Court Clerk Angela F. Reason swore Morgan in for his sixth term. He will now serve for four more years as the city’s sheriff.

Morgan has been the city’s sheriff since Jan. 1, 2006. Morgan is also a member of the Newport News Gang Reduction Task Force.
