PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) — A fire at Maryview Medical Center in Portsmouth on Monday morning was determined to be accidental, according to Portsmouth Fire Rescue & Emergency Services.
Crews responded to a report of a commercial structure fire at Maryview Medical Center, located at 3636 High Street, at approximately 8:45 a.m.
Assisted by the Suffolk Fire Department, crews arrived to find smoke coming from a transformer in an electrical room. They subsequently extinguished the fire and brought the incident under control around 9:45 a.m…
