A brush fire that burned an estimated 400 acres in Isle of Wight County was knocked down Saturday evening after hours of firefighting efforts from multiple agencies, officials said.
Isle of Wight County Fire Chief G.T. Windley said the fire was out around 6 p.m., and all fire department units had cleared the scene by that time.
