Quincy Wilson Runs 1:00.56 500m, Claims No. 11 All-Time World Ranking at VA Showcase

HAMPTON, Va. — Bullis School standout Quincy Wilson moved to No. 11 on the world all-time list in the 500 meters Thursday night, clocking 1:00.56 at the 2026 VA Showcase to record the second-fastest time in high school history.

The University of Maryland commit and Olympian took control early and dominated the four-man field, finishing nearly two seconds ahead of his nearest competitor. Wilson’s time places him just 0.07 seconds behind the high school record of 1:00.49, set by Andrew Salvodon at the 2025 VA Showcase.

Wilson blazed through the opening 200 meters in 21.53 seconds before hitting 300m in 33.48 and 400m in 46.53. By that point, the senior had established a commanding lead and maintained his pace through the finish as spectators rose to their feet…
