VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — A jury has convicted a 19-year-old man in the 2024 fatal shooting of a Virginia Beach man during an attempted robbery, according to the Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office.
Aarion Hopkins, formerly of Chesapeake, was found guilty of first-degree felony murder, attempted robbery, conspiracy, and two counts of use of a firearm. Circuit Court Judge James C. Lewis will sentence Hopkins on May 4, 2026.
Prosecutors said Hopkins and co-defendant Javon Pollard met Keyshawn Woodhouse on Sept. 30, 2024, at a residence on Fox Creek Court to negotiate the purchase of Percocet pills.
