NPD: Woman hurt following domestic-related stabbing; suspect in custody

NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY)– A woman is hurt after being stabbed in Norfolk early Wednesday morning.

According to police, officers were called to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital around 3:30 a.m. for the report of a woman suffering from a non-life-threatening stab wound. When officers arrived, it was determined that the domestic-related incident occurred in a home in the 2500 block of Princess Anne Road.

As a result, detectives charged 55-year-old Joseph L. Bridgers Jr. He faces the following charges:
