VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY)– Dana Plummer, 37, waived his right to a preliminary hearing in court Tuesday. His felony charges will now go to a grand jury.
Plummer’s five felony charges include three counts of abduction, one count of malicious wounding of a pregnant woman and one count of aggravated malicious wounding. Plummer is accused of stabbing his ex-wife and step-daughter in August 2024 and abducting his three children.
An Amber Alert was issued for the three children, 16-month old Za’riyah Plummer, 5-year-old Zayir Plummer and 7-year-old Zayin Plummer. Plummer drove the children to Maryland, where a pursuit began with State Police. The pursuit ended in a crash on I-495 in Prince George’s County.
