CFD: Battles residential blaze in South Norfolk

CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) — Chesapeake Fire Department crews responded to a fire in the South Norfolk section of the city Wednesday afternoon.

Firefighters were dispatched to the 2600 block of Sunrise Avenue around noon after a fire alarm activation.

Engine Company 1 arrived to find smoke coming from a two-story townhouse and upgraded the response to a working residential structure fire, according to Chesapeake fire Department.
