NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — Since 10 On Your Side covered a reported Norfolk ICE arrest caught on camera last Friday, our news team received several reports of ICE sightings, happening as some of our commonwealth’s attorneys are expanding a coalition called Fight Against Federal Overreach.
As 10 On Your Side reported Friday, ICE officers were caught on camera chasing someone through Lempira Latin Store in Norfolk. They were seen arresting this person behind the business.

“It may be distasteful, it may be a waste of time and resources, it may be contrary to my values and our values, but until that kind of behavior strays into criminal territory, I do not have an official role in it,” said Norfolk Commonwealth’s Attorney Ramin Fatehi.
Fatehi and Portsmouth’s Stephanie Morales are part of the Fight Against Federal Overreach coalition, along with other elected prosecutors around the country. They met in Washington, D.C. last week — joined by those who prosecuted the Derek Chauvin and Tree of Life Synagogue cases.

“If we have to use them, the law applies to everybody,” Fatehi said. “Ordinary citizens, local police, federal police, all equally. I intend to hold everybody equally accountable if they commit violent crimes in our city.”…
