A Marine assigned to the Norfolk-based USS Iwo Jima has died after falling overboard in the Caribbean Sea, officials confirmed Tuesday.
The Marine was identified as 21-year-old Lance Cpl. Chuwamikah Ofra of Florida.
According to officials, Ofra fell overboard Feb. 7 while deployed aboard the USS Iwo Jima, which is part of an amphibious ready group operating in the Caribbean.
