SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY)– Multiple people are now without a home following a fire in Suffolk Monday night.
According to officials, crews were called to the 100 block of Eagle Lane at 10:26 p.m. for the report of a residential structure fire. When firefighters arrived, they found light smoke showing from a two-story home. Firefighters conducted a search of the home and found fire in a second-floor bedroom.
Crews quickly put water on the fire and placed it under control just before 11 p.m. The second-floor bedroom sustained moderate fire damage. The remainder of the second floor sustained smoke damage.
Five adults and two children are now displaced and being assisted by the American Red Cross. No occupants or firefighters were hurt…
