EXMORE, Va. — Conditions on the Eastern Shore turned from heavy rain to heavy snow in just hours on Sunday, causing the roads to become increasingly more dangerous throughout the night.
Earlier today, the Eastern Shore experienced hours of heavy rainfall, but as temperatures dropped throughout the day, that rain turned into snow. Over the next few hours, that snow became increasingly thick and began to accumulate first on grassy surfaces and then eventually on the roads.
The accumulation on roads caused numerous cars to slide, and one car even got stuck in an embankment…
