CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) — More than 7,000 Dominion Energy customers in Chesapeake were without power at one point overnight in two separate outages, but service has been restored.
One outage, ranging from about Butts Station and Kempsville roads south to Volvo Parkway and into the Greenbrier East area of the city, affected more than 4,200 customers. Power in that area was reported restored just before 5 a.m. Wednesday.
Dominion estimated that power would be restored between 4 and 7 a.m. Wednesday. It did not list a cause of the outage, saying it is under investigation.
Another outage extending from just north of the Elizabeth River to a part of Volvo Parkway left more than 3,000 Dominion customers without power. Power in that area was reported restored just before 2 a.m. Wednesday…
