Chesapeake lake renamed to honor fallen Officer Timothy Schock

CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) — A lake in Chesapeake was renamed after a fallen officer who died during a training dive.

According to the Chesapeake Sheriff’s Office, the Oak Grove Lake was officially retitled to Officer Timothy Schock Memorial Lake to ensure his legacy of service and sacrifice will never be forgotten.

Schock lost his life on Dec. 20, 2011, during a training dive at the lake.

Additionally, his memory was honored Saturday at the Schock and Shivers event at Oak Grove Park, which brings the community together to raise funds in support of law enforcement families and survivors…
