NORFOLK, Va. — As Heart Month comes to a close, a Virginia Beach woman who was running out of options for a life-threatening heart condition said she’s finally getting her life back.
Karen Bellemare became the first patient in Hampton Roads to receive the TricValve system at Sentara Heart Hospital, which is part of a national clinical trial for people with advanced heart valve disease.
