CHESAPEAKE, Va. — When retail businesses close, sometimes customers don’t get orders fulfilled. When bankruptcy is involved, it complicates the matter of receiving a refund.
So, when a resident in this coastal Virginia market aired his problems on a local TV station, the area’s Ashley licensee sprang into action.
Additionally, GrandBrands, the licensee that owns and operates the Ashley stores in the market, hired a handful of people whose jobs were cut when the business, Value City Furniture, closed.
