Tyler County Sheriff Bryan Weatherford says an employee of Dogwood Trails Nursing Home went to jail after he was accused of stealing a patient’s cell phone.
Weatherford said a deputy confronted 25-year-old Austin Wilson Salazar regarding the crime, and learned that Salazar was wanted in Norfolk, Virginia for a crime there.
The sheriff said when the deputy tried to place Salazar into custody, he aggressively resisted arrest and then ran through the halls of the nursing home and tried to hide in several different rooms…
