A 26-year-old man was killed early Thursday morning in what Virginia Beach police say appears to be an accidental shooting.
At 1:09 a.m., Virginia Beach Emergency Communications received a report of a gunshot victim in the 2600 block of Virginia Beach Boulevard. Officers arrived to find a man, later identified as Shane Brooks, suffering from a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Detectives identified 19-year-old Ember McSpadden as the suspect. A preliminary investigation indicates the shooting was accidental. McSpadden was arrested and charged with involuntary manslaughter…
