PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) — A residential structure fire is under investigation in Portsmouth that occurred Friday morning.
Personnel from Portsmouth Fire, Rescue and Emergency Services responded to the 3500 block of King Street at approximately 8:30 a.m. for a report of a single-story residential structure fire. Upon arrival, they found smoke coming from the first floor.
Crews extinguished the fire and brought the incident under control at around 8:40 a.m. The fire was determined to be out at approximately 8:45 a.m. and contained to the room of origin, which was the attic.
