2 sailors treated after fire on Norfolk-based ship

NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — Two sailors were hurt following a fire Thursday on the Norfolk-based USS Gerald R. Ford, according to U.S. Central Command.

Officials said Thursday morning that the aircraft carrier experienced a fire in the main laundry spaces. The cause of the fire was not combat-related and is contained.
