VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — Matheus Cavalcante and Jamari Horton, two men accused of involvement in the March 7 shooting on the Virginia Beach Oceanfront, were granted a $25,000 secured bond Monday.
Officers patrolling the Virginia Beach Oceanfront heard shots fired in the 1800 block of Atlantic Avenue at approximately 9:50 p.m. March 7. Six people — five men and one woman — suffered non life-threatening gunshot wounds.
The judge placed several conditions on Horton’s bond, including that he must wear a GPS monitor and stay at his mother’s house. Horton, who faces an attempted robbery, malicious wounding and gun charges, had no prior criminal history, and his attorney said he has been working at Amazon since graduating from high school…
