Man dead, driver arrested after two-vehicle crash in the intersection of Hampton Highway and Big Bethel Road in York County

YORK COUNTY, Va. (WAVY) — A Norfolk man was arrested after a fatal two-vehicle crash in the intersection of Hampton Highway and Big Bethel Road in York County Saturday evening, according to the York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office.

On March 21 at around 11:29 p.m., deputies responded to the intersection of Hampton Highway and Big Bethel Road for a crash between a motorcycle and a car. The preliminary investigation indicated that the car hit the motorcyclist, who was a 26-year-old man from Hampton. He was pronounced deceased due to the crash.
